Associate
Dr Priscila Dauros-Singorenko (she/her) is a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at University of Auckland. Priscila is a molecular microbiologist with extensive experience in host-pathogen interactions and bacterial extracellular vesicle biology. She has contributed to pioneering multiple projects studying infection mechanisms by numerous bacterial pathogens and navigating through antimicrobial innovation. More specifically, she has explored areas related to infectious bacteria spreading the antibiotic resistance, signals that induce/reduce/prevent formation of bacterial biofilms, roles of bacteria-released vesicles in the infection, and the adaptation of infectious bacteria through transmission of multiple hosts. Priscila is passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and has also worked towards experimental design and testing of alternative diagnostic tools for bacterial infections and exploring the therapeutic utility of some bacteria-derived products to help in treatment of non-infectious diseases such as those with chronic inflammation.
